Even with a new "trial" venue over at the Coffee Shop in Bellevue Hotel, we still had a big attendance with five members raring to give their prepared speeches. Lolet led the proceedings as Toastmaster of the Evening.
The venue took a little while to get used to largely because of the limited space. There wasn't enough to move around with, shake hands Toastmasters-style and generally to make a stage presence.
Here, guest Puring and Lolet listen to the customary round of introductions.
A pair of happy campers: Marge and Violet.
Trish was late but managed to introduce herself to the newbies.
Another guest, Victor, gave an impromptu speech at Table Topics. He's the son of Larry.
Table Topics and the Respondents:
- “If you had 30 days to live, what would be your priority?” – Trish de Guia CC
- “If you had more than 30 years to live and want to leave a business, what would it be?” – Violet Imperial CC
- “What is the first real estate investment would you make?” – Victor Gamboa
Andre kicked off the Prepared Speeches Portion with his speech on caring for cats and dogs entitled "My PetS" (with a capital "S").
With a couple of visits already to the club, Marge finally gave her Icebreaker speech entitled "My Three M's".
Michael delivers an interesting speech on accents, pronunciation and language while evaluator Trish listens and takes
An advanced speech delivered by Ebb tackled on Leadership as its subject matter. Another guest, Ada, looks on.
Here, Alfred gives his best to humor the audience with a speech about his rickety old car.
Prepared Speakers of the Evening:
- Andre Marcelo-Tanner – “My PetS”
- Marge dela Fuente – “My Three M’s”
- Michael Andrews – “Knowing a People through their Language”
- Ebb Magtuba – “Leadership”
- Alfred Ocon – “Can’t Complain”
With a quaint old Italian village behind us - oh wait, it's just a mural, Larry gives his evaluation.
Other members listen to the rest of the evaluation team.
James wrapped up the evaluation portion with a very comprehensive Ah-Counter's report.
